I hate reading about apathy in this Haitian disaster, but even more than that, I hate seeing dozens of people agree to the concept that we shouldn’t be helping them as much as we possibly can. Thousands of people are presumed dead in Haiti and people are bitching about the money it will cost to help the ones that have lost everything. For the most part, even if they aren’t bitching about the money, they just don’t give a fuck at all. Really?!
This is why I have no faith in the human race as a collective. Fuck it, just sit back and enjoy your flat-panel television, sipping cups of name-brand beverages where nothing ever really happens. Fucking assholes.
You people should be embracing the help and you should stop cutting these invisible lines of culture. Millions of people need our help. Why does it matter where they’re from? They are still people. There are still children over there, bastardized, hungry and scared. There are literally millions of people who have lost everything. They will certainly die without help. How fucking dare you be apathetic about that?
