Chromesthesia
I hope..-

Dude? 150 books? That sounds like heaven. I went from lugging Walkmen held together by duct tape to having a  cd player that was basically more of a portable record player to one that played mp3s and now I have an mp3 player.

Not an Ipod, but this thing is sweet! All of the music I want in one place.

I doubt libraries are going anywhere as long as  funding goes to libraries. My local library almost closed due to the bad economy.

It’s nice to curl up with a good book with smooth pages, but I got to admit having 150 books in one place sounds appealing as hell and better for my bad back that is bad from dragging books all over creation.

I never have to see the day when libraries become obsolete.

I want my children to own books instead of kindles.

I will never understand why people fight technology so fervently.  A kindle can hold 150 separate books (last time I checked).  This is a wonderful thing.  On top of that, you can find books that are traditionally hard to find in a library.  I want to see the day when Kindles are fashionable (and I say that because that’s all people in America really seem to care about) and everybody has 150 books in their backpack.

We all need to stop fighting technology.  It’s not a bad thing.  The print industry is on it’s hind-legs and it’s going to be completely dead soon.  The environmental impact that will have will be absolutely noteworthy and the personal impact of being able to conveniently have so much on you at any given time is impressive.  I remember when MP3 players came out and everybody said how much they missed CD’s.  Now, you hardly see anybody with a CD collection.  Evolution is good.  Kindles are good.

Someone buy me one and you can have all my books (over 200 of them, heh). xD
